No carbonation - any recourse or just dump?

Don’t dump it. What was the temp? You might try to warm it up

    Imperial A38 Yeast

You should make a starter for a 7% beer. I have never used that yeast but I believe the cell count is on the day it leaves the lab.

    Infected batch?

Use star San to sanitize. Don’t let the bucket dry. Star San is a no rinse sanitizer. It works in a few minutes. Dump it out and put the wort in. Wait until fermentation seems to be done before you check the gravity. Use star San on anything you put in the beer to take a sample. Don’t put the...

    Surprised by yeast's activity

Probably a small leak in the bucket. The beer should be fine.

What's your best American Brown Ale Recipe

Yes, it’s in my kegerator now. Kind of like a brown ipa. The chocolate malt and citrus hops work great together.

    Brewing with Stevia

I never brewed with Stevia , but what if you brewed a lager or a blonde ale with a late addition of lemon drop hops, and mixed it with lemonade when you are going to drink it.

    Shipping yeast

Stocking up in spring and fall is a good idea, but I think as long as you are making a starter, you should be ok, or at least find out if you have a problem before brew day

Has someone ever actually tried this ?

One time I put a few hop pellets in a few bottles. It was drinkable but not as good as the ones without the hops. Back to your idea, I’m thinking you don’t want to boil it, you’ll lose the oils. Maybe warm up a little but I think that could be a problem for the yeast if you get too high...

    First IPA... Need advice!

Next time wait until the Krausen has dropped and fermentation is close to being done before dry hopping. If you use pellets you can just toss them in without a bag, they are going to spread out anyway. Whole hops in a bag is fine, as long as you sink it as mentioned.

    IPA Hop Schedule

Either way gets you in the ballpark, but I like your ideas of trying BeerSmith for 2 weeks free the best. Definitely worth the money if your doing all grain, especially if you want to make your own recipes.

    IPA Hop Schedule

You don’t need to change the amount of hops in BeerSmith. Just change the alpha acid of the hop to the alpha acid listed on the package of hops.

    Pitch Temp Too High!!

Yes, has to finish in chamber many times

ABV too low / FG to high

I think your problem is temp fluctuations. That one gallon batch is going to fluctuate more than a 5 gallon batch in the same area. Maybe you could get a big plastic container that you could fill with water to help keep more consistent temp. Also, are you rehydrating the yeast?

    Munich IPA

Nice idea. Malty and hoppy. Why not

Barely any foam when pouring my home brew from the bottle.

The co2 will be created at room temp, but the beer won’t absorb much until it’s cold. It takes at least a day or two.

    Oxygenation of Wort

Never had a problem. I was kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Anyone know how to dispose of them legally

    Vanilla Caramel Cream Ale Question

For vanilla, add one bean and a little liquid Vanilla.

5 Gallon BIAB Brown Ale Recipes?

Janet’s brown all grain kit. Most people that brew it say it’s the best beer they ever made. It’s hoppy, basically a brown IPA. You can get it at morebeer.com You could also find the recipe in brewing classic styles which is a great recipe book. They have the recipe for Janet’s Brown and also a...

    Beer becomes more bitter

Make sure your not pouring the whole bottle into the glass.
