I'm heading to my folks place in PA to brew with my dad - he's just getting into homebrewing from being out here over the winter (snowbirds) and seeing my brother and I brew a few times. He has a kit there already from a place in Maryland, and I'm taking one from a LHBS that has never failed...

Ok, that made me laugh - I'm shipping out a kit to the address, just seems best practice. Thanks for the input, I'm guessing there are very few who have made the attempt to travel fully loaded with the ease of shipping these days -

So I'm heading to the east coast from Arizona to brew some beer, and got to thinking about different ways to get ingredients to the brewout. I like my LHBS and would love to take one of their kits with me. They offer shipping, but I wanted to check out the thoughts from y'all on flying the kit...

Am I the only one that feels a little rough this morning after some of those Rock Art beers? Wish I was gonna be there to see that brew olllllo - I'll be looking for pics of the day. Don't forget to get one of the pear extract being added - that's not an everyday thing.

That could be true, but don't despair. It's not lost quality,it's lost quantity of the dollar behind the shares. That's what they keep telling us at the bank, and hell, it works there to keep us motivated like little drone bees. Ok, I kid - we stay motivated because every once in a while...

I was waiting for someone to ask if "going to the opera" was Phoenix slang for not making it to a brew out. And then I would have to post that no, I really am going to the opera. Which I'm not saying is my first choice for the weekend, but ya do pick the battles when you are married :)

We have 4 season tickets for just my wife and I - had to do it at the silly half-off prices! We take a LOT of people to the games - we're 6 rows back from the 'yotes net. Best seat in the rink when you played goal for a number of years... And if I had a dime for every time someone said...

I hope they end up staying, I'd hate to move again! Red Wing's night is the only game out the the entire 42 home game stand that has a full attendance - and I'm pretty sure I don't need to tell you who the people are there to see :) The fact the NHL stepped in is good news for now...

At the risk of starting a fire of hate and fury, I'll post my thanks that I moved from the northeast years ago to Phoenix. I miss the white out the window, but I sure don't miss digging two cars out of a snowplow's wake. Oh, the memories...

Excellent brew day, and I learned more than any book can teach me :) I'm sitting with a great first day of results , lots of bubbles and krausen. Going to be a great Lawnmower beer. Now to just figure out what the hell a lawnmower beer is....
