    Using Mesh bag/sleeve during racking. Good vs. Bad?

    Thanks yooper. I got slightly worried because I have noticed little to no trub development in my last beer that has been in seconday for almost a week. I didn't want to miss out on valuable flavors. I understand secondary is an old school thing that most people have abandoned. I personally...

    Using Mesh bag/sleeve during racking. Good vs. Bad?

    I got the bag from my LHBS. It is sold by BrewCraft usa I think its a 2x5" Fine nylon keg hop bag. I use it at the bottom of my syphon (never had any problems). I use a sanitized piece of 4x fly fishing tippet to keep it tied on. Yes jbb3, I bottle carb. AND you are right, I doubt it is enough...

    Did My Primary Finish Early?!?!?!

    Hey guys, I brewed an AMERICAN Stout recipe (merica!) 8 days ago. I knew it was having a fast aggressive ferment. Had great krausen going, lots of bubble CO2 activity with gases coming off and everything. I checked the gravity today and was WAY closer than expected. Recipe was built by my me...

    Should i keep the S airlock on during dry hopping or should i seal it with a piece of sanitized foil with a rubber band?

    Gravity = 1.020!!!!

    Ok guys, I have got a couple more questions. I warmed up my carboy for a few days and gave it a gentle swirl to roust the yeast. I took a gravity reading and in the last four days it has only dropped 2 points. I gave it another gentle swirl and doesnt seem like there is much more fermentation...
