Oh good. I just did not expect to see what I did when I opened that lid after 12 hours. I was worried that I may have way over pitched. But calculated my cells count and did things by the book. I have found that sometimes "by the book" is not always the best outcome.

It is in a temperature controlled 15.4 CF chest with 0.5 degrees of variation and has a thermawell in the vessel.

I used Stainless Brewing to purchase my 1/2" - 50 ft coil and all I can say is wow. Way worth every penny. I think it was around 97 dollars with the 2-90 degree bends. Install was a snap. It takes about 10 gallon on my keggle to cover it but there is still plenty of room for sparge water...

Forgot to add that I have just a standard stainless steel false bottom. Not sue if that is clear or not? It seems to work really well and never seemed to have a problem with it batch sparging over the past few years.

I have a false bottom in the mash tun. I ran my first batch at about 85% mash efficiency but I did run into a few issues with getting the re circulation rate to be correct. It seemed that I had a bit too much water on the grain bed and compressed things down a bit. I didn't get a stuck...

Adam, Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post. I appreciate your advice and willingness to share your experiences. I will for sure consider adjusting the time on the re circulation of the initial mash step. I will also monitor my Mash Ph and SG as I get close to final boil volume...
