    co2 leak through broken gauge?

    This is correct. The glass faceplate just protects the needle from being damaged. The pressure 'sensing' part is sealed inside where you cant see it.

    Is copper pipe foodgrade ?

    I am pretty sure different grades of stainless steel are just different in their corrosion resistance, and workability (welding, bending) Copper is copper since it is an element on the periodic table.
