Texas FS: Ss Brewtech Keg Washer

I’m in lake Jackson, about an hour south of Houston. I’m not really sure about sanke kegs. I kinda doubt it - it was designed for corny kegs.

Texas FS: Ss Brewtech Keg Washer

I only used it once. Will ship in the original box. $175 shipped. Forgive my messy garage. I’ve got pin lock connectors installed right now, but I’ll include ball lock if that’s what you’re into.

BrewCommander - Impressive offering from John

Ah - this is for 20A. The 30A version is twice the price, and then you have to buy the plugs. I just ordered a breaker for $90 and I'll probably install it myself.

BrewCommander - Impressive offering from John

Where did you get your inline GFCI? I have been looking for one, but I'm probably going to just install a GFCI breaker instead.

IPA with Chinook and El Dorado?

I'm planning my next brew day, and I currently have a ton of Chinook and El Dorado hops in the freezer. Would these hops play nicely together? I want to do a big double IPA, and I'm looking for suggestions on recipe ideas, since I don't have great instincts yet. I'm thinking Chinook for...

Optimum Wyeast 1318 London Ale III Fermentation Temp for NEIPA?

Yeah, I did my first dry hop right on top of the krausen about 40 hrs after pitching yeast. I don't think I have ever seen a more vigorous fermentation.

Optimum Wyeast 1318 London Ale III Fermentation Temp for NEIPA?

I made a 2L starter and pitched it at 67° into my 1.060 wort and it fermented down to 1.010 in 60 hours.

    Yeast settling/trub dumping question

I don’t usually worry about trub, but I wanted to dump it this time since I’m planning to harvest the yeast and I don’t want to deal with washing it and I also don’t want to dump a ton of trub into my next batch.

    Yeast settling/trub dumping question

I brewed an IPA on Sunday (4 days ago), and I have been dumping the trub one 64 oz jar at a time over the last couple of days. The beer has been in my temp controlled conical at 65ºF and primary fermentation is finished. My question is: when does this yeast (WLP001) typically flocculate and...

    Glycol chiller setup questions

At the moment I'm using the neoprene jacket that came with my Ss Brewtech BME Chronical. I know that it's not the most effective insulation, but it seems to work fairly well.

    Glycol chiller setup questions

So, are you saying that I have too much glycol in my system? I did some research before I set it up and most of what I read called for a 30-35% glycol mix. That's about what I have. I bought food grade glycol (Propylene Glycol - 1 Gallon - USP Certified Food Grade - Highest Purity, Humectant...

    Glycol chiller question

Right now it's 1 part glycol to 2 parts water, but I'm realizing that it's too much glycol. I have a 7 gallon ss brewtech conical with the internal chilling coils.

    Glycol chiller setup questions

Lots of info here - thanks! I just raised the temp on the controller to 50°. Let's see how that works. There's plenty of airflow around the AC unit, so that's not a concern. There are a few tiny openings on the cooler that I could probably insulate, but it's mostly sealed. It holds...

    Glycol chiller setup questions

I recently put together a DIY glycol chiller with a 5000 BTU window unit and an ice chest. It's currently doing a great job of keeping the fermenter at 60°F in a garage that it about 80-85°F. I have it hooked up to a Johnson digital temp controller and I'm keeping my glycol reservoir at about...

    Fermenter got super hot

This is like 2.5 days into fermentation.

    Fermenter got super hot

My fermenter cooling situation is kind a Russian roulette situation. I have an Ss brewtech fermenter with SS coils for cooling, and I have an immersion pump and a temp controller. It works great unless the water temperature in the ice chest gets higher than the wort temperature. If that...

How much does WLP001 attenuate overnight?

Yeah, I'm using a hydrometer, and there are a ton of bubbles when I first pour the sample, but I wait 10ish minutes to let the foam dissipate before I take a reading.
