Well as i'm sure you guessed this was my first batch I brewed. I tried to follow the 123 rule and I did transfer the primary to a secondary glass carboy. But it has only been a day or two and there is sediment that looks like the DME on the bottom. What did I do wrong? Is the beer drinkable...

Hello all. Found this forum through google and have been checking out posts lately. I'm a newbie home brewer. Right now my first brew is in it's secondary fermentation in a glass carboy. I'm brewing a clone kit of Bass ale. Can't wait to try my first batch in hopes I didn't screw up too bad.

So adding a bit more than 5 gallons for a supposed 5 gallon batch would be a good idea to take in some evaporation? That won't water down my beer right?
