    Wort chiller

    Just wanted to show of my wort chiller I built over the weekend. Used on a brew Monday and chilled 5.5 gallons in 25 minutes! No more ice baths!

    Stuck at 1.023

    Thanks yooper. I've been fermenting for a couple years but pretty new to beer. Do you recommend liquid yeast with a starter on every brew? So far it seems every time I've had any issue it's been when I use dry yeast. Is this just coincidence?

    I guess I'll give it a couple more days and put I some more yeast if their is no change.

    It was a brewers best extract kit. O.G. Was 1.073. For what it's worth the kit directions say final gravity should be 1.016-1.019.

    I've got a imperial nut brown in the fermenter. It's been there 8 days and is stuck at 1.023. I gave it a swirl and put it in a warmer spot, 76 degrees instead of the 69 it had been and still no movement on the hydrometer. I used safale 04 instead of a starter.     Late hope addition

    Yeah I knew it wasn't typical for an American wheat but I m really brewing this for my wife who loves wheats. The hop aroma was going to be for for me! Think I'll throw them in at the end off the boil and see what happens. Thanks for the advice

    About to brew a northern brewer american wheat. I plan on adding orange peel and coriander for kind of a blue moon taste. I was thinking about adding some cascades late in the boil for aroma. My question is how long should I boil to add aroma but not raise the IBU's to much? Is it even a good...
