    I just purchased this pump off amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EEIXPOM/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#productDetails I noticed it has 4 wires coming out the bottom. What are the extra 2 wires for? I ordered the non-submersible version, just wondering if I should...

    In post 633, dirkomatic shows his pump taken apart. This looks like the us solar/topsflo pump. These both advertise that they are food safe and specifically mention brewing applications. However, the picture looks like the magnet is uncoated, unlike the coated magnet in the little tan pump...

    Thanks for the reply, I am trying to go with a 120v system. You mention that you made your own cord with 12g wire to carry up to 20A, the second option I posted for the power cord is also 12g. I assume that means it would still work with a 20A current even though it says it's rated for 15A...
