Michigan Selling It All - Keezer, Kettles, Etc.

If you end up parting out the keggerator, I might be interested in the 2ndary gas regulator shipped to 02135. Let me know!

HERMS coil placement in a keggle. Need help!

I finally got my herms coil and was getting ready to install but then realized my keggle might limit my placement. It's a 1/2"x50' coil. Since I have a heating element in there I am limited to how low I can put it. Which either pushes me up almost to the top of the keg or down on the bump in one...

Fruit Loops/Honey Nut Cheerios in Beer?

Sorry to resurrect thread. Did you just mash with them, any in the boil or dry "hop"? I am curious of trying this too.

    Over pressurized kegs

+1 Regulator issue. When you bleed is it pretty obvious they are at 50 psi, like crazy loud blast? Your gauge could also be incorrect as well, if it is in fact 5 psi and reading as 50

Ale that tastes good at room temp

English or Dark yes. But I also looooove saison at room/temp. Gravity samples always go down quick. Also Hydroflask waterbottles/growlers are the greatest invention ever. Worth the investment and then you can drink it cold! I bought a 64 oz growler a year ago, now I have a 20 and 36 oz one for...

    Will this be red?

I have found that melanoiden malt helps bring out red, you could sub that for some roasted malt. Also Red X malt is fantastic for that without any added roast, sub that for some munich. Good luck! Should be a delicious beer regardless.

Hey, I ended up not getting this. Sorry! I got a 10.6 CF GE freezer. works great. Can easily fit 5-6 kegs

New to corking: need top quality #7 corks

Well, yes I found corks, and not #7s. I think they were #8, but I found them at a LHBS. Had the full cork bottom and top, with the composite cork in the middle. Steamed them in Sulfate steam to sanitize the day of corking. Then I capped and waxed. Since I used smaller bottles, I had to...

New to corking: need top quality #7 corks

I should have! I will at some point. My birthday was in november. The one I opened (and the one before just to check) were very minimal carb and pretty thick. I look forward to them carbing out and thinning out over time. I had a 40 bottle yield when all was said and done!

    My coffin keezer!

Yeah I started right back up again after haha. The compressor died on this already so now I have lost them all. I am starting a new build with a 10.6 cuft, but probably wont use the coasters again, since I have tons of ribbon stripe mahog scraps.

Another Keezer Build (mid-century modern/Ikea-inspired design).

This is amazing and exactly what I needed to see. I just got a tap tower for xmas and was thinking about something like this to prevent having to tip it. Did you have to anchor the stand to the wall or ground so it doesn't tip when it is extended?

    Ideas for next Batch? Help!

March? Bockkkkkk! Thats what I'm making soon. Plenty of lagering time.

Amana 9.0 cf for their keezer? Not on the registry, how many kegs?

I am hoping to get at least 4 ball locks in there without a collar, since I have an elaborate build I will embark on this winter. I just need to have the starting place where I can accommodate what I already have...

Turning 25, can I make a beer that will last 25+ years?

Yes the willpower is the hard part haha. Over Christmas I was going to open a bottle with everyone, but my gf set my mind straight since I opened 2 this year that were not on my bday haha. I still have 38 but no need to rush through them.

    Session IPA Q's

+1 summit. If used for late additions and dry hopping it is a juicy sweet tangerine IME. I never got any savory or garlicky notes. I've read that its usually caused by early additions with it.

What to do with new/unused oak barrel?

I want to do this on my barrel, but I'm afraid to hammer one in or drill a pilot hole. What's the best approach?

Turning 25, can I make a beer that will last 25+ years?

Thats awesome. I think the cork cap is definitely the way to go, Cantillon has the right idea, and their beers last forever more or less. The wax I just saw as an added protection in my mind, also an excuse to make it look awesome. If you buy corks prepackaged (usually in bags of 25 or 100)...
