I’ve been putting off getting it but it is about time to pull the trigger. So I’ve been saving money to stock up and it looks like I’ll be getting a 50lb bag of Munich, Pilsner, and regular 2 row when I return from a trip. So time willing - there will be lots of brewing soon. If anyone is...

So in my case, I bought a house that previously had termites. Then found the damage. Cost about 6k to repair all the damage. Hurt my soul.

Man don’t mess with termites. Get some bait stations in the ground ASAP. It is such a pain to try to sell a house with termite damage. On another-nother note- has anyone had Foothills Brewery’s Carolina Blonde? It is supposed to be a cream ale but tastes more like a Czech Pilsner. Not sure if...

To my knowledge, I’ve still not tried an neipa. I’m curious since I’m not a fan of the heavy bitterness of ipa/iipa’s.

I like most sours but solidly dislike anything that uses Belgian yeast. Haven’t found a Belgian I like yet. I gravitate towards the porters, stouts, and English styles. Also the super clean lagers. And if this iPhone autocorrects one more word- my hammer arm may start itching

So I made a weissenbock and Baltic porter about 6 months ago that we’re great (and are now gone). I now am stuck with about 8 oz of English chocolate malt and English Pale chocolate that I am not going to be able to use anytime soon. I’ve read that it should be ok for about a year if stored in...

I’ve been eyeing the ss stuff for a while now. 14 gallon conicals sound great for the garage!

I wish. Both are on my list of eventual purchases. They are quite a ways down the list though. I do plan to make a slide for my table saw so that I can use it as a sort of jointer. That is down the road a few weeks too. I am hoping to get the homebrew pipeline fully stocked first.

Good luck building it man. I haven’t tried frames yet but furniture is no problem haha.

Nah - all it’s doing is changing the energy level needed for water to move from liquid to gas phase. Hops isomerization requires energy input (heat) and sanitation requires a level of energy input as well. But now that I think of it, high altitude breweries would deal with lower boiling...

No shoots for me yet :( I was tilling my garden and didn’t realize my hip roots had eaten my garden so I enclosed the roots in a 3’x3’ square. Hope they are ok haha

That’s awesome! My best one was when I brewed a cream ale and held it in my chest freezer at 68. Had a major blowout which I barely cleaned up - thinking I was going to keg it the next week or so. I got busy and didn’t get to legging it for about a month. When I went to cool it, somehow I missed...

I’m not sure about the gravity - I’ve never tried to correlate blowouts to gravity but it makes sense. Rehydrated yeast is a solid beast. When I’m experimenting with leftover ingredients, I’ll toss in 2 packs of rehydrated safale04(I think that’s the one) and get some beautiful yeast violence Haha.

Haha couldn’t make the 6 hours then. Well very nice - glad to know the bubbler could hold it.
