    IC with Soldered Joints

    i would not say they are awesome but useful in this situation. i used a good one (with rollers insted of just plates to slide across) for about 3 months on 1/2" stainless soft and hard tube. bending 180 bends in hard stainless was not fun to say the least. now compression fittings are awesome...

    if you have it or can get it at the right price use it. you can use a tubing bender you just wont be able to have that nice round shape that fits nicley inside a pot. Using a bender you can bend the tubing and not kink it as you would bending it around a round object. jim

    Tank Recert. problems

    +1 jump on it I have looked at hydro stamps on 2000lb O2 tanks i see at work and seeing ones with first stamps from the 60's is not uncommon. So unless the tank looks bad it should pass without a problem.

    I have the plastic comes out easy with needle nose pliers. I like the shape too.

    i am new to the hobby and my first batch is currently in the primary. everything went smooth ( until i pushed my drilled plug into the carboy and had to drill out my solid one. ) everything i have read so far is good information for me and i think it will help with my learning curve. jim
