    Keg clogged

Turns out it actually was some hop remains doing the clogging. They were in the head of the outpost where the spring and o-ring are. Now beer is flowing like the Nile. 🍻 Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Keg clogged

Negative on the hop leaves. Used pellet and I siphoned pretty well. Kinda puzzled. Probably gonna try to blow out the tube with co2 and if that fails again I'll cut off the dip tube a smidge. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Keg clogged

There seems to be some sediment prohibiting beer from flowing through the narrow out tube. Doesn't take much I imagine. I've taken the tube out and it is clear. I have also hooked the co2 up to the out post and blown obstructions out. That works for one pour but becomes clogged again. I've heard...

    SMaSH recipe for extract

Good work everyone. Very helpful. Couple of questions. Would the cans of extract tell me if it is 100% one type of malt? Also would it be beneficial at all to steep base grains? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    American IPA Blood Moon IPA

Uh yes. Just had the finished product out of my keg. This will be brewed again and again until I can brew no more. Followed the original recipe spot on but dry hopped for about 10 days. Came out with a golden mango color with a prominent nose and taste of grapefruit and citrus. Wonderful...

    SMaSH recipe for extract

I've got about a dozen batches down so far and am now intrigued by the Single malt and single hop approach to things. I am too lazy to look through the entire forum so I'm just wondering if anybody knows how to go about making a SMASH recipe for extract brewing. Any advice is appreciated...

    American IPA Blood Moon IPA

Brewed bowlersp original recipe tonight and I'm pumped for the results. Smells great and is getting off to a splendid fermentation. Gotta love the simplicity of this recipe and hopefully it's as good as advertised. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Keg cold crash

Yea I usually put my primary in the fridge and cold crash that way. Just wasn't sure if co2 would affect it or not. Thanks guys. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Keg cold crash

Can you cold crash a beer while it's under pressure in the keg? Or will the co2 screw things up? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Over carbonated?

First time kegging and everything seemed to be going smoothly. I've had my beer hooked up at 10 psi for 11 days now and the carbonation level is about half of where I want it to be.The problem is that I'm getting 80 to 90 percent foamy head when I pour at 10 psi. From what I've read the culprit...

    late boil additions

Thanks for the help everybody! I was able to strain most of the orange peel and cinnamon out but the coriander seeds were too numerous. I think next time I'm in a similar situation I Will use hop sacks in my boil. Also, quick side question-- there is absolutely no activity in my airlock but a...

    late boil additions

Im brewing a belgian white and the recipe calls for late boil additions such as cinnamon, coriander, and orange peel. These are all floating at the top on my kettle. Is it ok to dump them in my fermenter with the rest of my beer? Thanks, Andrew

First Timer - Did I ruin it?

I had the same rotten egg smell with my first cider I put in the fermenter two weeks ago tomorrow. Smell went away and is still cloudy and bubbling every so often. Feeling good about it and don't think it is cause for alarm.

    First cider ever

I'm making a 5 gallon batch of cider using store bought apple juice and a white wine yeast that was recommended by my local home brew store. 1st day in the fermenter was on the 20th of this month and I was just wondering when I should rack it to another carboy and how often I should rack it...
