    Fermenting Ale and Lager yeasts together

    Been doing it with a Kolsch/US-05/Brett/American Ale/ Combo and its very forgiving of low ferm temps giving very crisp beers. no off flavors. This is my last rinse and am not hording this yeast again but I recommend doing it. You'll like it.

    One note. copper and steel fittings should be seperated by brass, or some other metal. The copper and steel corrode. Remedy that with a gatorbite brand fitting for your pipes if need be.

    I am wondering if anyone washes yeast with this method...

    one guy I seen took his whole bucket/carboy, added sterilized water(that has been boiled and cooled) to the whole yeast cake, let it stratify and then pour it into one jar. It's one way to do it
