Hop growing - few issues after 2-3 months

Ouch. I read somewhere that I should water like a cup per day or two days. I still watered a little more, but I guess that was not enough. Thanks for the input! I still want to know for the future how deep they should be planted and how much water (in our climate - sun and 95-100F) should they...

Hop growing - few issues after 2-3 months

Hi, OK, so first of all, it's probably all my fault, because of not enough research, but anyway...I planted one rhizome about 3 months ago using some regular soil from Home Depot, nothing fancy, not the cheapest one neither. First question: should I have planted more rhizomes? Second thing I...

Help me decide on a name for my homebrewery

Help me decide on a name for my homebrewery

Alechemy > Mythiq > BlackSquall imho... but it would be easier if you would pair it with the logos.

Best temp for Bavarian Hefeweizen 1 Gallon kit

looks like it worked more or less. So I noticed that the recipe suggests that the beer "will ferment happiest at a temp of 55-66F", so I went with the full water batch inside my cooler. Water level is above the wort level. I think I may have put too much ice yesterday since water temp was even...

Best temp for Bavarian Hefeweizen 1 Gallon kit

Thanks guys. I don't want the bananas to overwhelm too much, so I think I will do as Feurhund suggested, at least for the first few days. Now, maybe a stupid questions, does it matter if the fermenter is just few inches in the cold water or should it be covered well above (almost completely)? I...

Best temp for Bavarian Hefeweizen 1 Gallon kit

Hi, So I'm starting to experiment a little with 1 gallon batches right now. I got a few from Northern Brewer. The first I'm going ot try is a Bavarian Hefeweizen 1 Gallon kit. And not question. I only have two fermentation temperature options: - 68-69 stable room temp in secondary bedroom -...

Coffee porter / stout for beginners?

Hi guys, I had a short break from brewing. (I made my last to batches mostly for myself and on top of that I had a lot of commercial beers to drink). I want to switch to 1gallon batches, but not necessarily right now. But anyway, I would like to brew a coffee vanilla porter or stout...But...

    Swap-O-Rama #3, ANTI LOCAL!

I think that if there is 20 people, there should be 2-3 "winners", not just one...So like 1st place takes 10 bottles, 2nd 5 and 3rd 2xbottles or something like that.

Morebeer Pliny The Elder Instructions Confusion

I'm a few weeks after bottling and the beer is pretty good but definitely too sweet. If I would ever done it again I would change the priming sugar and probably not used magnum hops.
