Did you do standard dillution? I usually don't measure when I'm mixing a small amount purely to reduce scale, so it's a stronger solution. Though you may have minerality different from mine where it does work.

Then you will get more body than the original recipe. The purpose of the sugar in a Belgian beer is to have the ABV but not the heaviness of the beer, that you would get from the protieins in the grain. It's about not increasing the body of the beer. To understand this, get a barleywine at 12%...

It should be an annual rite of passage for all new members to read this as an example of how to properly post on here whilst totally tanked on your own product.

it's one of the most valuable thinks you can do for yourself, to actually taste in a controlled environment and learn what the tastes actually are instead of reading about it.

I still haven't tried any Mangrove Jack stuff...the one store that carries that line it seems to always be out of all their stuff. I guess if I luck out one day and they have it in stock I'll snag some even if I don't brew this for awhile. :mug:
