    Silent kegerator build (peltier cells?)

Thanks for the idea, but mini fridges which are sold in my country are too small. But nice build you have!

    Silent kegerator build (peltier cells?)

Hi, I live in an apartment and I am tired of going three floors up/down to a garage for a beer. So I want to build kegerator whcih will be placed in the living room. The main problem is that it has to be very silent as we don't want to hear any "fridge" noise when watching TV or just...

Force carbonation consumption? (and some help for the first time)

Found 5m (16ft) and not too much change. It is not foaming now, but the carbonation is still strange ... a lot of small bubbles quickly disapearing in the mounth (and also from the glass). Edit: I have 1/4″ ID vinyl tubing, so it should be good length

    Hello from Prague, Czech Republic

BlackGoat: Glad to hear! :) Klasterni Pivovar is really good place. I am happy it is in a walk distance from my home (nice walk in the gardens around the Petrin's tower). And some news - I am really studying a brewery school as I mentioned in one of the earlier post. Still cannot belive it :)

Force carbonation consumption? (and some help for the first time)

Hi again, Some time passed out and now I naturally carbonated 7th keg. But I am still fighting with simillar problem. Keg was in room temp for 3 weeks, then chilled 3 days in the fridge. Then I attached picnic tap and gas, set it to serving (carbonating) pressure and took a sample. I got a lot...

Force carbonation consumption? (and some help for the first time)

So, both kegs are empty and I have to say that beers were good. I think they were still little under carbonated, probably on a little higher level than when I took a sample, but birthday boy was satisfied, so I didn't forced it more as I was planning. Probably I set regulator too low for desired...

Force carbonation consumption? (and some help for the first time)

Thanks, I hope so. I am reading all the articles about force carbing (I have not read it well before, because I was thinking I won't need it for now) and I am very confused. A lots of different ways, mentioning carbing for 2 to 14 days. Now I am not really sure, if 3 days at 12 PSI will be...

Force carbonation consumption? (and some help for the first time)

I see. So all pressure made by natural carbonation, which was ready to dissolve to the beer during chilling is now gone :/ I get foam only from black IPA, blond ale was OK. I set up force carbing right after I put kegs into the fridge, because I didn't have other option. But now I will know for...

Force carbonation consumption? (and some help for the first time)

DrunkleJon: Thanks. I know that beer needs chilling, but I didn't have a time. These two kegs must be ready this weekend and I brewed these batches before a month. So normally, I would let them chill first (after 3 weeks) and then take a sample, but in this case, I had to take sample before...

Force carbonation consumption? (and some help for the first time)

Thanks for answer. But I already had to do it, so I was on my own :/ So, I checkend both kegs (blond ale, black ipa) and both beers were undercarb. There were little bubbles visible in the glass and also very softly noticeable in the mouth. So I decided to force carb. I depressurized both...

Force carbonation consumption? (and some help for the first time)

Great, thanks for the information. And one more question - is it OK to take a sample (and probably dispense all the sediment?) before chilling? And what should be proper procedure? I want to take a sample to see if it is carbonated or not and then it will be chilled in the fridge for 3 days. 1...

Force carbonation consumption? (and some help for the first time)

Hi, There are a lot of threads and articles about kegging, but I didn't find the information about this: How much CO2 is consumed during the force carbonation? I am asking, because I kegged two corny kegs for the first time and this weekend, they will be consumed on friend's birthday...

Please help me understand my two mistakes

Thanks a lot for all your comments. Looks like I am fine :) Anyway, I was just curious about these problems, not really worried. #1 - Looks like there are two ways and probably both are right. If I read some czech beer tutorial, where simplest and cheapest ways are used, I can see that grain...

Please help me understand my two mistakes

I just brewed my 6th batch and I realized that I am doing two things wrong. Probably more, but these two for now :) I was learning from J.Palmers book and probably overlooked or misunderstood some things. I want to ask you about your opinions and your thoughts about consequences: 1. Batch...

    Hello from Prague, Czech Republic

Hi, of course. I can highly recommend this brewery, my favorite: http://www.u3r.cz/en/ It is in the historical center (few steps from "Staromestske namesti") and they always have 3 czech lagers and about three seasonal beers, mostly ales or special lagers. If you are going to visit Prague's...

    Hello from Prague, Czech Republic

Well, I have to say that beer culture is rapidly transforming these days. More and more small breweries appears and most of them brew a lot of good ales. So people are discovering new world behind the standard lagers. Me included. Before a year, I didn't know that something than lagers even...

    Hello from Prague, Czech Republic

That's nice. Looks like neverending hobby. There is still something to improve. And I will go further - I want to try to study brewing school after this summer, so after 3 years I will be able professional brewmaster :) There are a lot of homebrewers, mostly brewing lagers, but I am not sure...
