Maryland Downsizing, moving, etc. EVERYTHING GOES! $500

A reasonable man is always open to reasonable offers. I am a reasonable man. Not having to drink 90 bottles of Grolsch has got to be worth at least $500. And just look at that 'custom' bottle drying rack: Gold, Jerry! If only I had known about your carboys when I paid good money for mine...

Maryland Downsizing, moving, etc. EVERYTHING GOES! $500

I have not had a brew day in a couple years, and with the move have decided to get rid of my collection and start over if I find the time. Great lot of stuff to get started with, or maybe just add to your own collection of junk! 3 gallon SS brew pot Copper wort chiller Two 6 gallon glass...

What are you listening to (music!!!) right now? Embarrassing or not... share

I know this song from my yute, but can't remember why. Suspiciously think it was a warm up song my 7th grade choir teacher used, she was a bit of a free spirit. Pretty sure she left out some verses. ;)

    Need a new propane grill

All's well that ends well. Got my veteran's discount on the same brand new Genesis II E-210 delivered to a Lowes in tax-free Delaware, so effectively got the $499 retail grill for $419. Works as advertised, look forward to using it the next ten years! Now to figure out how to clone the DFH...

    Need a new propane grill

Update: The afterburner has been doing a great job for most of what we do, but I still need something for chicken, fish, etc. I was handed a handmade certificate by the kids for "One Grill" on Father's Day. I looked things over one more time, and decided the Weber Genesis II e-210 (retail...

    Need a new propane grill

Success! Sorta guessed at when to slap meat on the afterburner setup tonight. Lots of meat to sear with such a small surface area, but it worked. Dad bought the meat, so I did not get to prep / size it the way I would want, but it worked. IMHO, the lamb chops were the best, but the...

    Need a new propane grill

Alrighty then. I will watch the Craigslist for a Weber. Right now there is a Summit for $300 listed, but two hours away, so I will hold tight. In the meantime, Dad has requested Lamb Chops and Tenderloin steaks for Easter dinner when he visits, so I will try the afterburner method. Picked...

    Need a new propane grill

So the fairly good deal four burner Char-broil with limited lifetime burner replacement (ie you get one) is close to dead. Went on the Interwebs to find a forum to ask what should I get now, and dang if Google didn't send me here, a place I am already a member! I grill year-round, even in...

    Stc-1000 wiring

That's it. Cut off the end (the female plug) then strip down the black insulation to expose the three inner wires to an appropriate length. The black insulation is probably molded to the wires, so I find careful use of a utility knife works better than any sort of stripping device.

    It's a Christmas Miracle!

So here we are, family arriving, foodstuffs in various states of preparedness for the great Christmas feast, and things are getting pretty tight in the kitchen fridge. Someone just spilled pie filling in the veggie dip. It's getting ugly. Gosh, I wish I had bought a bigger fridge . . ...

What I did for beer today

My Espresso Stout was ready, so I bottled for the first time in a few years. A monkey with a football for sure, no efficiency at all, but got 'er done.

What I did for beer today

Not a damn thing. Meant to bottle my Espresso Stout, but found a good deal on tickets this morning and took my teenage son to a football game. Good times. Oh wait, I lied: consumed some beer at the game (designated teen driver, and all :))

What I did for beer today

Finally got around to that Espresso Stout recipe a friend sent me, nice finish to the Labor Day Weekend. Should be ready around NFL playoff time. Here it is waiting to pitch, as I sat on the porch steps enjoying my latest Mexican Pilsner on a very humid Summer night:

    Stc-1000 wiring

As Bugs Bunny would say, "What a Maroon!" I, too, was a ******* today. Finally figured out the bloken engrish of the instructions, and waited the required 3 mins, heard a click, saw a light, got power to the plug! All is well, hope that is your only problem as well.
