Using Grainfather Chiller with other Fermenters

If anyone is interested I have figured out how to use the Grainfather glycol chiller with other fermenters. If your not familiar with what I’m referring to, the Grainfather chillers pumps are controlled by cables that come from the back of their conical fermenters. A signal is sent from the...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

So its been awhile since I attempted to get brewpi running with my ESP8266. Thought I would check back in here and try it again. Still can't get the devices to install. Have 2 temp sensors and 3 digital pins that are detected but can't install them. Same problem I had a few months back.

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Your showing 2 different files. "brewpi-esp8266.v0.2.wifi.bin" and "brewpi-esp8266.v0.2.serial-wifi-headers.bin" I believe its the first one you should be using. What esp8266 are you using or where did you get it from. Not sure I'll be a lot of help seeing as how I haven't been able to...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

No still stuck on not being able to install any of the discovered devices. Was waiting for some help. But either I'm totally an idiot and missing something obvious or no one knows how to fix it. I'm leaning towards the first one but haven't had any time to look at it again for the obvious...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Managed to get the esp8266 back online. wasn't able to figure out the "w" reset but managed to figure out the wifiHost name. Thank you for the assistance. Is it possible to have more than one esp8266 connected at a time? The config file doesn't like two wifiHost lines.

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

First off I'd just like to say this is an awesome project and really well documented and thank you. However I'm having problems with flashing the ESP8266's. I just started building a BrewPi from a Raspberry Pi 3 and using some ESP8266's that I purchased of Amazon.ca. Had everything pretty...

BeerBug Review - Early build impressions

I received my beer bug yesterday. Was able to successfully blinkup and have a wifi connection. However whenever I try testing or start a new brew I get the msg "Is your brewbug awake". I do have it in high activity mode by pressing the button. No idea what to try next. I emailed the company...

Brewhouse Kits - looking for opinions and reviews. . .

Is it ok to bring the temperature up that high? Wyeast website recommends (9-13° C). http://www.wyeastlab.com/rw_yeaststrain_detail.cfm?ID=133

Brewhouse Kits - looking for opinions and reviews. . .

Instead of the Pilsner I'm starting with the Brewhouse Munich Dark lager with Wyeast 2308 Munich Lager. So far I have fermented it in a primary fermenter for 12 days at 10C, it has gone from a 1.052 to 1.034 SG in that time. Today I moved it to the secondary fermenter and am now storing it at...

Brewhouse Kits - looking for opinions and reviews. . .

Thanks for the reply jhurt. Looks like I'm going to have to empty out my beer fridge to make room for a carboy. Never thought I'd have to keep it that cold for that long.

Brewhouse Kits - looking for opinions and reviews. . .

I just ordered some Wyeast 2278 Czech Pilsner to replace the Coopers yeast that comes with the Brew House Pilsner kit. I would like to share my fermentation plan to make sure I'm on the correct track. 1. First off I am going to chill the wart and the additional 8 litres of bottled water down...
