    My GE fridge/kegerator conversion project...vintage

15" deep x 22.75" wide. I wasn't expecting a 3rd to really fit, but I tried it with an empty 3rd keg and guess what...door closes perfectly. I am pretty certain the door panel is flexing, but I am not too worried about that. DW

after a 1 minute search...not stainless, but chromed brass: about $30 shipped. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0064OIGHA/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 I still give you points for creativity...:mug: DW

DIY cheap hardware store faucet/tap setup.

I wouldn't drink it. For the minimal cost of a shank & a faucet, why not just buy them and be done with it? DW

    My GE fridge/kegerator conversion project...vintage

Link to my original post on this project: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f252/vintage-ge-fridge-kegerator-help-509179/ I had planned on modifying the door to accommodate the 3rd keg, but with the kegs arranged as such, the door closes without any extra effort....one less thing to do, cool...

Vintage GE fridge for kegerator help

There is a single control in the fridge space. I believe there are cooling coils on the sides of the fridge space and possible on the top partition between the fridge & freezer. I wouldn't blindly drill holes through, but investigate where the coils are and drill through where they weren't...

Vintage GE fridge for kegerator help

I have and am used to old fridges that have a common space that includes the ice box/cooling unit. I don't know much about this beast...yet. I have a few days before I can start digging into it. In the meantime, I am hoping someone here can give me some in-site on the innards of this fridge...

Paintball tank for portable kegerator question(s)

I can't seem to find a solid answer for how many 1/6th kegs a 12oz. & 20oz. paintball tank will push. I've read that the 12oz will push around 5, but I was hoping to get a confirmation or correction to that number. I am looking to go as small as possible, but the tank needs to push at least 2 -...

    My Portable Cooler Kegerator build

I agree! I planned on having a strap around the cooler anyway...I don't have that much confidence in the hinges or latches. Depending on how well this setup works out this summer, I might upgrade the hinges and latches, but I would still use a strap too...kind of double purpose. It would also...

    My Portable Cooler Kegerator build

that was the original plan...buy a replacement hatch. The other cooler was a freebee from a friend...the hatch just happened to be the same as the one on the new cooler. I will get around to ordering another hatch so I can use that other cooler too. DW

    My Portable Cooler Kegerator build

My home kegerator has the tank on the outside as well. However, for this cooler project, I don't mind getting a paintball tank. I want everything self contained with no external features except the faucet. Even that will get tucked inside for transporting. I have a second hatch panel so I can...

    My Portable Cooler Kegerator build

Thank you! Yes, I will put ice and add ice in it thru the access hatch. It's not a big deal if it leaks, it's going to be on the back of a boat most of the time anyway. My wife and her friends (and the guys too) sort of turned into beer snobs over the last 6 months. Usually we just drink...

    My Portable Cooler Kegerator build

Hi, first post! I am making a portable cooler kegerator...actually, I am almost done with it. I need to get a smaller paintball Co2 tank & adapter (my spare 5lb tank fits, but the regulator stops the lid from closing all the way). I also need to get some closed cell foam for the back, bottom and...
