Not hitting full 5 gallons, why?

Also if you are somewhere cold this time of year, your evaporation rate is likely slightly higher, I believe due to the extremely dry air. And you're probably boiling too hard, most people starting out too. Shoot for a gently rolling boil, not a violent one!

To bottle for my wedding, or buy legging equipment???

I would say that it depends on how big of a batch you are making for your wedding...it's so easy to open a commercial kegs and use it for your own beer, and it would be cheaper and easier to purchase and use one 1/2 bbl than 3 corny kegs. Or even a 1/4 bbl for that matter.

    How cold is it

-11 here in Metro Detroit, not much wind though....

    Wedding brews

Biermunchers Bass Clone has been a universally loved beer at every major event I've brewed for. We pushed a full barrel (31G) at my wedding and 36G at my brothers. Its got great flavor, not too heavy, and great color. Just my 2 cents

No I really don't travel much. I have friends and family there but we don't visit often.

I found one more bomber that I re-hid from myself. Can't wait to give this one a try. Don't think I can wait until my Birthday (8/8). Anyone else holding on to it?

    I'm Thinking... 09/09/09 Barleywine

Didn't even realize it, but the five year anniversary is coming up! Maybe I'll wait...at least until the day I brewed it. Don't know if I can wait until 9/9 now that I've started thinking about it. Oops. I brewed it on 10/22/2008. Which makes it 5 years, 3 months, and 17 days old.

    I'm Thinking... 09/09/09 Barleywine

Who's still sitting on any quantity of this? I've got a wooden crate with a bunch of small Coke bottles full nailed shut in my basement still. Haven't cracked one in a year or two but after tasting the 2012 Boltcutter it might be time to pull one or two out...

    Cheapest bar tab ever?!

Agree with Teromous. You should always tip on the pre-discount amount. That being said, 80% of people probably would never even think of it.

Strong Bitter Bass & Co, Pale Ale

Just to pat him on the back, I made 31 gallons of this for my brothers wedding. It was incredibly well received by all!

Here's some more pics of the Draft Tower... Even the pictures don't really capture the depth of color in the glaze. She's a beauty.

I'm responding to all of these messages via PM or email. If you can't see the spreadsheet, email me I'll send you a hard file copy instead of the cloud doc or whatever. And all of the prices are negotiable, especially the hard to price stuff like the draft tower, jockey box, etc.

Michigan Kegs, Carboys, Draft Equipment, ETC

It'd be like an extra 20/keg or 50 for all 3 if I could find a box to fit them in. But I don't think I'll have a problem moving them in Metro Detroit. Sorry. Get those Chicago homebrew clubs to loosen up the grip on those things!

It's time for me to clean out the storage area and convert my collecting habit into some much needed cash. I'll generally list what I have in the text here, see the attached file for pictures and details. I'd prefer not to ship any of this for obvious reasons, most of it is bulky and quite...
