    Boiling question

    I just brewed my first wort and it seems like a lot of water got boiled off in the process. Used a mini mash kit and an hour boiling hops with no lid in a 24 qt pot. Should I over compensate on water next time or leave the lid on the pot??? Started with 2.5 gallons, ended with much less...
