BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

Any chance of porting this to the ESP32?

    Alto shaam conversion

I'm hoping someone on here has messed with one of these. I was planning on building a ferm chamber, but this fell on my trailer from a grocery store remodel. I've got to plug it in at the shop tomorrow and play with the settings, but from the manual, it seems there is not a specific temp...

I apologize, I should have realized this would happen. It's a Pi3 running CraftBeerPi.

    BrewPi control suggestions/advice

I posted this in the Electric forum, with no responses, thought I'd try here.. I've been accumulating parts for a long while, and I'm about ready to start my control panel. I may upgrade to a metal enclosure in the future, but for now I've got a nice piece of 1/4 acrylic that I'll build off...

Advice or suggestions on BrewPi controll box.

I've been accumulating parts for a long while, and I'm about ready to start my control panel. I may upgrade to a metal enclosure in the future, but for now I've got a nice piece of 1/4 acrylic that I'll build off of. Screenshot below, wire colors I'm sure will hard to read. Coming from a...

Build Your Own Heat Element Kit

Hate to dig up a zombie thread, but I'm looking at this piece as well. I have a ripple 1" thread 5500w element. Does this TC enclosure have threads that the element threads into? I would like to assume yes, but ya know.. Thanks

I have a question on the OTA update.. When I go to the page, it ask me to choose a file...? Where do I locate the file to complete the OTA?

Yea, I keep mentally stumbling back to this running on a Pi, when it's not.. I did not think about the BLE requirement missing on these little guys. At this point it is just a "would be nice" type of deal. I'm not concerned about monitoring the gravity remotely. I can check that just as I do...

@pocketmon, Curious if you plan, or know, if the Tilt Hydrometer can/will be implemented?

I should have my oled this week I think. I'm looking for some direction on hooking it up. I've got 4 EPS's working fine, but I'm not familiar with a screen at all.. And I doubt it's just plug in the wires and go.. I'm gonna work on building the acrylic box this weekend. All parts, other than the...

No worries. I did find out via online searching that many routers allow you to do exactly what you said. I apparently just have old stuff that didn't have that built in... I appreciate your effort in adding the feature! :ban:

Thank you for implementing this. Seems to be working great. I've got the plexi for the keezer control box, should have the rest of the parts next week (except the OLED, slow boat from china). I'll post up some pics when it's put together.. Thanks again! :mug:

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

^^^^ THIS!! My router only allows reserved IP in the DHCP range.. This must me different across differnt manufacturers.. mDNS does work on my laptop, so once they are setup, this will no longer matter... :mug:

Both the router at the house, and the one at my shop make you use an IP from within the DHCP range. Guessing that's why it's call DHCP reservation. Setting a static IP on a networked device does not stop you from accessing the router. I do this with all my devices (TV's, Xbox's, game servers...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

I understand what you are saying. This is a half-assed solution for my problem. I CAN set the mac to a specific address in my router. This works. Problem is, (for me) I have to choose an IP that is within my DHCP allocation. I don't do this for my own devices.. I set my own devices to a...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

Noob-ness showing here, but I don't how to get to it in the first 3 minutes. I had to wait until it went AP mode (I believe) then connect to the 'brewpi' network to get things setup. I don't use the whole range for DHCP. I run DHCP from 10.0.0.100-10.0.0.149. I have a few game servers and...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

Yea I found that in my router. This is a bandaid, but will have to work for now I suppose. Problem is it only allows you assign an IP from your DHCP range. I tend to put things like this outside the DHCP range, in groups that make sense to me... I'm looking into the arduino IDE, but I've...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

No encoder used here.. I'll get one of those screens and try it out. I'm not following on the IP statement. I don't want the ESP to use DHCP, I want it to have a specified IP, as do other things. Simplifies things. I read somewhere earlier today about being able to change the IP through the...

BrewPi@ESP8266, no need of RPI and Arduino.

Well somehow I managed to get them both up and running!!.. Is there a command to set a static IP? I'd like to have them in my reserved ip range at the house. Also curious about the OLED setup.. I'm thinking one of these will run my Keezer, and having an LCD would be nice.. Would this one...
