    Window AC Maintenance Question Walk-In

OK, this is the second question: To be able to 'properly' clean the 'innards' I must slide the innards out of the case. Right? So, I'm guessing that the innards slide to the inside for removal. Right? But, the casing seems to really secured to the guts of the unit. So, the newbie...

    Cleaning Window AC

This won't be fun, I'm sure. The directions said to remove the AC (slide out from the case) and clean the guts of the AC yearly. Well, of course, I didn't do that so now 4 years in it must be dirty and is shutting off, I believe to thermal overload. Question: Would you have any advice about...

Window AC with 100% Recirculating Setting

I must purchase a new AC window unit for my walk-in with Coolbot. I specifically am looking for a unit that allows me to defeat any introduction of 'outside' air. A few units seem to have a switch allowing this setting. I need 12,000 BTU's. Would you know a brand and model # that allows...

    Damaged Post Threads

I now have damaged the posts on about 3 kegs such that they will not accept a post. I know there is a way to repair the threads but not being very mechanical, I thought I'd ask. I just got this nice new catalog from Harbor Freight just begging for a purchase. Thank you.

    Walk-In Fridge

Up until about 5 minutes ago I was deeply conflicted about the cost and hassle to build of my walk-in fridge. No more... Take a look at what you get for more than $8.5k with a 'Brew Cave'. That's with no floor mind you...Wow. http://is.gd/yNXqOp For that price it ought to have lifetime...

White Labs container survive pressure cooking?

Will an empty White Labs yeast vial survive pressure cooking at 15 pounds of pressure? I figure I'd ask before potentially making a big mess. Thanks

    Which microscope to buy??

So, I bought one microscope and it is fine for counting yeast cells but I would like to be able to spot bacteria. What recommendations do the knowledgeable people have on this? ...and is there a good place to acquire such a thing? Thank you!

    Corny Keg Post Problem

So I removed a keg post for cleaning and it is now somehow cross threaded and I think it is on the post. How do I re-thread (correct) the threads?? I'd hate to discard an otherwise good keg... Thanks

    Refrigerator AND Freezer both Died

Maybe someone can help me. I have both a refrigerator and freezer that I have not used for three years. They have been unplugged in my basement. Today I plugged both in and both were dead. Any ideas about what happened? Thanks

    WB06 does not equal WLP300

Apparently the Fermentis WB-06 is NOT, NOT the same as WLP300. So, I've got 10 gallons of a beer that sucks. BTW, I've made this beer probably 20 times, always great. This time, everything was the same except the yeast. I'm disappointed, but now I know.

This HAS to be a high-profit item for the homebrew stores... Have you found a cost effective supplier? Thanks!

    Plastic bags for corny kegs

I just saw the video from Northern Brewer on how to build a keezer. I don't care about that but - they did show placing their kegs inside each with a clear plastic bag that 'sorta' fit the keg (it would stand up on its own). That would beat the crap out of cleaning up after a slow leaker...

    Line cleaner - multi port

I saw this post: (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/cheap-easy-effective-beer-line-cleaner-383912/) regarding a neat line cleaner and I would like to scale this idea up a bit and I know there are a bunch of clever people out there... I would like to build a 4 port model and wonder if anyone...

220 Volt Hot Plate Fabrication Suggestions

I would like to add a 220v hot plate to my existing system for the purpose of canning wort (in the brewery vs. the kitchen). I would rather fashion something than pay retail. My system does have an adjustable power control. What is a clever way to wire up an element and mount it on some base...

    Pellet hop debris control

Before I went electric, the pellet hop debris was controlled well by whirl pooling and a diverter - worked well. Now the elements do not allow for effective whirl pooling. I do make a lot of hoppy IPAs. The hop bags are a concern for utilization (and contact with an element). The...

    Most Desirable Hops for 2013

OK folks, besides Citra, what are the most desirable, fresh flavors, for 2013? Everyone has their favorites, what's yours?

    Tap labeling suggestions

I know you're a very creative bunch, and I need ideas how to label multiple taps in a relatively small space on my walk-in fridge. I need them to be able to be changed (of course) and to look rather professional (don't we all). The problem is that they are bunched up rather closely and are on...
