I'm searching for a "Name, Term?" Sam Calagione

Thanks, both of ya. So the idea is adding flavorings, or herbs, whatever to the wort? give it a sip and that gives you a general idea of the taste? does this include hop mixtures? My main reason of interest in this is by mixing different hops beforehand and seeing what combos taste best imo...

I'm searching for a "Name, Term?" Sam Calagione

Hey new to brewing here and trying to get a few things lined up before I start my first batches. Now, I don't know what video clip, or documentary I was watching but Sam Calagione of Dogfish Head said (now I don't know the exact name or term for this) but "test" beers with ingredients in it...

    Some Beginner Brewing Questions

Thanks a ton man! :rockin: I would be more comfortable most likely doing 4.5 gallons, just since it's my first time.

    Some Beginner Brewing Questions

AMonkey, unionrdr so what it looks like, is I should just buy a larger stock pot? Yeah, I was questioning the size of the 3 gallon, it may be larger actually, but regardless, doesn't look like it is going to cut it. :(

Actually, I am going to be doing All Grain. How big is your boiling pot? Are you boiling outside?

    Some Beginner Brewing Questions

I'm completely new to brewing, haven't even done my first batch yet, but before I start, and buying some equipment, I thought I'd ask here. My girlfriend has an old 3 gallon pressure cooker in her garage, I was planning to use that, to save some money. :rockin: So my first question is...
