    Why are Crystal hops so expensive this year?

    Anyone know why Crystal hops are so expensive this year? Have they become popular, was it a bad harvest, or had they just been cheep because of low AA last year? I'm probably still ordering some, but seeing Crystal for the same price as Citra and other new, trendy hops is strange.

    Has anyone managed to score this? It's only been released a few times. I have used it as part of the blend and it's a tropical bomb. I've got the Cantillon Iris strains from BKYeast to trade. I have all 3 blended together and #2 on it's own.

    At what carb level do bottles start gushing?

    How many volumes of co2 does it take before a beer gushes when opened? It seems to me about 4 volumes will slowly creep foam towards the lip, but not gush.

    I've noticed that my mixed brett/sacc saisons tend to 'finish' at 1.004 to 1.008 depending on mash temp and grist.
