    Thanks for the input folks. It does seem to lend itself to being a HLT, doesn't it? I read a bit about a HERMS? setup...,. I'm intrigued!

    I haven't verified specs, but there is number 15 stamped on the drum.... Maybe 15 gallons or so? Looks about right.

    Picked up this stainless steel surplus coffee urn. Was installed on a ship, if you can believe it. It appears to have a steam jacket, with two sight glasses and valves. I'm wondering if I would be better off selling/trading this thing for all grain brewing equipment as opposed to converting it...
