    Watermelon Gose

I only brewed this once but trying to squeeze this one in again. I liked it a lot. it just has more steps then an ipa. Very easy if you never done this style before.

    Watermelon Gose

After about two weeks it became more tart and much less sweet.

    Watermelon Gose

I don't like sweet. The Gose was really balanced. I did not let it sit at room temp more then a day or two. It did sit in keezer for 5 days while carbing.

    trub filter

The mesh I used is too fine. Unfortunately I don't know the microns for it.

    Watermelon Gose

I can't find the link but here is my copy of the brewers procedure: The steps did not include how to get the juice from the melon but it was easy. I cut melon in half. Then I mashed the melon keeping it inside the shell. Once mashed enough I would take the pulp any put it in a strainer over a...

    Watermelon Gose

No changes. I keg so I started drinking it 12 days after kegging. It was great young but after 5 weeks was getting weird. Only had a couple pints at 5 weeks and keg was kicked at six weeks.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Northeast Wheat Ale (light one, whirlpool\dry\keg hopped with columbus, citra, and galaxy) and NEIPA (Darker one, whirlpool\dry\keg hopped with columbus and el dorado).

    Base Malt in NEIPA

I thought it was too much like a West coast ipa. Not bad just not a NEIPA style.

Lots of reading and think there is not a single way to get the mouth feel but using multiple factors that all add silk\ smooth to mouth feel. - Water adjust chloride\sulfates (I add 10% of calcium chloride addition to boil) - grains\additions malto dextrine -...

    Best NEIPA hop combos

Denali is huge tropical flavor hop, mainly pineapple. The aroma is very noticeable (tropical) and has not diminished even after 3 weeks tapped. One of my favorites. With Vic it is over the top tropical with some pine. Highly recommended.

What I have learned regarding the process of making a NEIPA.

Here is a great thread on dry yeast for NEIPAs. Very addictive read even though understanding it is challenging. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/isolated-yeast-tree-house-how-to-identify-and-characterize.623221/

What I have learned regarding the process of making a NEIPA.

Sure. After draining BK into Fermonster fermentor (after cooling usually around 72f) I let sit at room temp for an hour or so. I try to get wort temp a little higher than the yeast starter temp. Once the wort in fermentor settles a bit I verify that I am at my correct volume in the fermentor (I...

What I have learned regarding the process of making a NEIPA.

I hear you there. I was very apprehensive about having no bittering hops. After all the reading and brewing I found that even leaving out the boil hops there was plenty of bitterness. I tried having the flame out hops sit longer at first (basically letting wort cool without chiller) but it still...

What I have learned regarding the process of making a NEIPA.

No real great reason. I think at higher temps you get a more estery taste which I don't like. I do know that 65f is the stated low end range for the yeasts I listed but it hasn't caused me any problems with fermentation.
