    I would 2nd checking the gravity first. The 2nd fermenter may not have a good seal on it which would cause there to be no activity in the airlock.

    Fav fermentation vessel?

    I was using 6.5 gallon glass carboy but recently upgraded to 7 gallon Fermonsters (currently have 6 clean and 2 sour) and am loving them. I normally have ~6 gallons going into fermenter and have yet to have the need for a blow off. With a 6.5 gallon carboy I almost always needed one.

    sweat mead yeast for wheat wine

    I know it is too late since you posted you already pitched the yeast but with it being a mead yeast there is a good chance it will not be able to consume the longer chain sugars that are in beer.     Berliner Weiss ?

    For my berliner, I normally use 50% pilsner, 25% flaked wheat, 25% flaked rye with a 15 min boil and have never had an issue with DMS.

    Coil for Fermentation Temperature Control

    The only issue I have with them is that they do not plan on selling the fermenter lid and coil by itself. You are forced to also buy their cooling unit also. Which would not work for me because I would like to build my own cooling unit.
