    Over sanitizing bottles??

    Is using bleach on the bottles, then rinsing in hot water, then starsan soaking bad? Does anyone use bleach? I have had trouble with my last two batches getting good carbonation in the bottles, could this be the problem? One batch I primed with priming sugar, the other with cab tabs...

    I switched from honey to sugar on this one. I am going with cane sugar, Florida crystals to be exact. I'm excited to brew this one and will get started as soon as my son arrives for summer break from fsu. He wants to learn something valuable while attending university!

    Never been so discouraged about homebrew (need some encouragement)

    I'm very new to this, but I have used bottled water for all the beer I have done so far because I'm not crazy about my city water. You may try that.

    Good advice, thank you! After the mash I would guess that steeping is not necessary? Would I at this point just add the mash water straight to a boil, or is there something else that needs to be done? I like to taste the wart every step of the way to better understand how each thing I add...
