    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

Nice! I'll have to try it next time if i'm in a pinch. I ended up using 2007 because they didn't have 34/70 and was trying to doing the quick lager method but ended up fermenting at 68 from the beginning. Came out excellent! What temp did you use and what was your fermentation schedule?

What is the one best change you've made to upgrade your beer quality?

That's awesome, glad your getting good results that quickly! One of my issues with bottling was the fact it takes so long. With that being said I'll never bottle again ahaha. :mug:

What is the one best change you've made to upgrade your beer quality?

Probably but I always heard that bottle conditioning would scavenge the oxygen that would be introduced during bottling.

    Post-Boil Hop Utilization Chart?

IDK if you have it available but beersmith does this for you. Choose the length of the hop stand and the temp and it will give you an estimation.

What is the one best change you've made to upgrade your beer quality?

Kegging was the single best thing that I noticed that made the largest improvement to my beer. idk what about it made a difference but while I was bottling I noticed that after fermentation my beer would taste great. I would get excited for a batch then after bottling and letting condition for...

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

Boys and girls, this came out amazing! Warm fermentation really did not have any affect on the end product by my taste buds. Really clean easy drinking beer with that hay pilsner malt thing that I love. I will be using this yeast again to warm ferment in the future. Next I would like to see...

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

So I let it ride for 10 days and cold crashed. I tasted a sample 7 days in and noticed what seemed to be a bit of acetaldehyde but after 3 more days I think it has been cleaned up. Just added geletin and will be kegging in a few days. Ill report back with pictures and tasting notes. Figured...

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

So i accidentally forgot to set my fermentation fridge for lager temps and now my Pilsner fermented with Wyeast 2007 is fermenting at 68f. I've had experience warm fermenting lager strains in the past with 34/70 but that's been well documented to have good results. Anyone ever experiment with...

    Low bitterness/hop utilization with BIAB

I've been brewing BIAB for about five years now and made plenty of IPA with the right amount of bitterness in my brews. Only time when I've had issues hop bitterness is when one of the three things mentioned above was out of wack. Do you add anything to change your water profile, looks like its...

    Aqward question????

kegging all the way my friend! Ive been bottling since the beginning for my brewing career, and I'm ready to be done with bottling.

    Low bitterness/hop utilization with BIAB

The brewing method you use will not have an effect on you hop utilization. I have a couple of questions about your brewing methods. 1. Do you do anything to your water profile? Water plays a huge role in the perception of bitterness in you beer. Higher sulfate in your water will help. 2...

Are You Your Own Worst Critic?

I'm always hard on my brews but I know when I nail one. Its the best feeling in the world, but I can't actually say that it's happened for me that often. I maybe being way to over critical with my brews but that's whats going to make me a better brewer. You need that to continue to advance as...

    White Stout Recipe Question

So the base beer is done for this bad boy. Its really bland right now but I'm hoping that with the additions of coffee and cacao nibs it will liven up this beer a bit. I did 12oz of whole bean coffee because in going short on the steep time. Only going to soak the beans for only 3 days. Im...
