    Problem with tap

Why would they put that washer in there to begin with. It fixed the problem, but I would bet the other tower has the washer in it and it pours fine.

    Problem with tap

I have a double tower and I'm having a problem with one side. If I try and pull it all the way open it stops. If I back off a bit it does pour, but it is very hard to keep it in the right position to avoid getting a lot of foam. The other side is working great. I can just pull that one all the...

Air lock blew out for 2 days

I'm just like a new daddy, don't want to break it. Once you realize it's hard to hurt you just have to let it go.

Air lock blew out for 2 days

It was 1.02. I did have an air hose into a jug of water. The stopper actually came out and there was no blown out crap. My wife put the stopper in so I cant be sure how well it was in to begin with.

Air lock blew out for 2 days

Air lock blew out and was out for 2 days. The beer was in primary for 2 days when this happened. I sanitized the air lock and put it back in. It has now been 5 days and it seem to be doing nothing. I'm afraid that the fermentation has stopped. I took a reading the OG was 1.036 and now it reads...

    Storing---Keg or Carboy

Thanks Scooby Brew. Do you add any CO2 to pressurize the tanks?

    Storing---Keg or Carboy

Thanks. I want to go with the kegs because of light exposure and the fact that they take up less space. So if I hit them with 30 psi they should be fine? Not that they will be around for long.

    Storing---Keg or Carboy

I just built a 2 keg kegerator and was wondering what the best method is for storing beer before putting in the kegs. Would it be better to leave in the carboy, and how long can it stay in there. Or would it be better to have extra kegs and pressurize and then store, and how long can they store...

    Adding chocolate

I do 2 weeks for primary and 2 weeks for secondary. I will try this in the secondary then and see how it comes out. I'm putting this in a keg so if it comes out delish it might not last long. Thanks for the advice.
