4 prong to 3 prong twist lock questions

Thanks for all the information. I guess I should of asked our electrician last time he was in. I am not at all well versed with this stuff but thought it might me a simple fix, I can see why combining the neutral and ground is not a good idea. Thanks everyone who chimed in

4 prong to 3 prong twist lock questions

Thanks for the reply, yes we have 3 phase power at be brewery. Some of our CIP pumps run on 3 phase some on single. The 3 phase has the same type outlet compatible to my panel. Unsure if I should plug it in.

4 prong to 3 prong twist lock questions

So I have a control panel for my system that has a 4 prong 240v male plug for powering the panel But at the brewery I work at we only have these receptacles for 240v single phase So my question is could I rewire the male 4 with a 3 prong twist lock or make an adapter with another section...

    Buying Used Kegerator

I would ask how long he has had the Co2 tank. They have to have a hydrostatic test done every 5 years to ensure they are safe. The test costs about $50 to get done. Also that reg looks like one that only shows tank pressure. So you might want to get a dual gauge regulator like this one...

    Double batch in one fermenter

We do this all the time at the brewery I work at, we have a 15bbl brew house and 30 bbl tanks, I will pitch yeast on the first batch then brew into the same tank on the second. You can also brew a single batch for "yeast propagation" let it ferment for 24-48 hrs then brew the second after a...

    Jacketed Mash Tun

At the brewery I work at our mash tun is steam jacketed only to raise the mash temp, at 15bbls the mash doesn't lose heat due to thermal mass even over 90mins. Our 3 bbl is a rims system and surprisingly loses quite a bit of temp if the rims is not turned on. Honestly it would be a lot easier...

    What is your ideal ABV?

The average beer I brew is around 6%. I have brewed a number of low gravity beers including a micro IPA that came in at 2.9% ABV. Mashed it super hot around 158 and added some oats very light bittering addition and a 3 oz flame out and 4 oz dry hop. When i gave this beer to some of my...

Canning Jar Trub/Yeast Harvester for Conical

You guys should check these out. A little on the pricey side but are essentially a better option then a mason jar IMHO they range in sizes from .13 gallon to 5 gallon (bit over kill haha) and come with 1.5 inch clamp gasket and lid. http://www.gwkent.com/stainless-steel-bottles.html these...

Roselare blend starter to increase sourness in first pitch

I used the roselare blend on a sour beer with an og of 1.080 first pitch with two packets also an addition of two bottles worth of Jolly Pumpkin dreggs. Wyeast doesn't recommend a starter as it will throw off the ratios of bugs giving you a unknown outcome. That beer was definitely "sour" not...

Turning 25, can I make a beer that will last 25+ years?

they were apparently found in a basement so they sat in a presumably stable climate and out of the light their whole life until this year. as for the corking, they shouldn't shatter, i've corked a standard 22 bomber before, but if theres any sort of carbonation going on, you would want to use...

Turning 25, can I make a beer that will last 25+ years?

I had a Sam Adams triple bock from 1995, 19 years old at this point, honestly wasn't bad, definitely a bit oxidized but not what I was expecting ( I have had some horribly oxidized beers from less than a year old) it was corked and waxed, still have one left, probably gunna drink it sooner than...

4 Tips for Making Great Beer in 15 Minutes

Another point on a small boil, at a certain point the wort can become super saturated with "IBUs" (for lack of a better way to put it) the point of a full boil is crucial for beer like an IPA you can't make a pliny only boiling a 1/2 gallon of wort for a 5 gallon batch the wort can only absorb...
