Dry Hopping with only primary fermenter

I've brewed very simple stuff for a few years, and got a recipe that says I need to throw dry hop pellets into the fermenter 4-7 days after fermentation begins. I only use a primary fermenter, should I just throw them directly in or what? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Bottling time

Looking for Simple Extract Recipe on a Budget

Anyone have a recipe or suggestions for the following?: - 6 gallon recipe - alcohol content around 5% - no grains - limited hops I don't want a lager cause I can't control temperatures that to keep it low, so I'd like something that can be brewed well at room temperature (65-70 degrees).

Simple Higher Alcohol Extract Brew On A Budget

Anyone have a recipe or suggestions for the following?: - 6 gallon recipe - alcohol content 5.5% to 7% - no grains - limited hops I'm thinking of just going to a brew shop and getting a bunch of malt extract and a small amount of hops to make just a strong ale that involves dry yeast. Sent...

Using 6 gallons to brew 5 gallon recipe?

So I'm used to Coopers kits which are all 6 gallon kits, however now I'm on to recipes from my local brew shop which are only 5 gallon recipes. If I still make 6 gallons of beer with a 5 gallon recipe how will this impact my beer? Beyond less content or alcohol per bottle beer is there...

    Time in Fermenter Affects Carbonation?

I've been doing some simple coopers brew kits the past couple years and just started doing extract recipes. What I've noticed about the coopers kits (using the dry yeast and carbonation drops) is that the shorter amount of time spent in the fermenter, the higher carbonated the beer is...

Does anyone have any simple and cheap Cooper's Beer Kit Recipes?

I've seen a few different ones online, but I don't want to buy a bunch of extra stuff (or have access to a local brew shop where I live) and I don't have the equipment to do anything that complicated. I was thinking about trying to do like a berry veiss or a berry lager by someone mixing fruit...

Which Cooper's Beer Kit has the highest alcohol content?

I've done the lager, irish stout, and bitter english. Now, I'm looking for the kit that will give me the most boom for my buck! Which Cooper's kit has the highest alcohol content? Or which kit can I easily turn into the highest ABV?

Improving Alcohol Content: Cooper's Draught Beer Kit

I got this kit because after brewing 3 decent beers from cooper's (stout, lager, bitter english) I wanted to make something that tasted more like "commercial beer," to see what kind of results I could get. I just started my first batch last night. But now on my 2nd batch I want to try and...

    How to pitch different yeasts?

I'm working with a cooper's DIY kit, and I want to get better yeast because I'm not a big fan of the "yeasty" after taste I get with the current Coopers brew kits. I want to use safale s-04 and US-05, I've heard good reviews of both of these. However, when I go to their site, the directions...

    Cooper's Lager High ABV

This is my first official brew, so I got Coopers DIY Kit, and it comes with the lager. Well, I measured my Original Gravity (OG) and it was at 1.052, then I did my Final Gravity (FG) measurement two weeks later and it was 1.010. So if you do the math on it, 1052 - 1013 = 39 divided by 7.46 =...

How to get rid of yeasty taste in homebrew?

My friend got a Coopers DIY home brew kit, and so far I've tried his lager and his IPA and they both have strong yeasty after taste. I asked him how long he left it in the primary fermenter and he said like only 3 or 4 days for the lager and only a couple days for the IPA, could this extremely...
