I'm still here lurking. Just got my Moose Slobber kit from Northern Brewer that I'm brewing this weekend and I'm getting ingredients for EdWorts Apfelwein to slap together this weekend too. I got three empty legs that need filling ;) Happy Brewing, Chris

    Foaming and Stuck Keg Issues

Would wrapping the ends of the siphon tube with paint strainer material still oxidize the beer?

    Foaming and Stuck Keg Issues

What's the best way to do this without pinching the tube or getting other unwanted results?

    Foaming and Stuck Keg Issues

So to add closure to this thread, the problem was wort sediment on the bottom of the keg. I had failed to strain the brew when transferring and this was causing the problem. The pour is perfect now and the beer tastes wonderful. It was a pain in the you know what transferring carbonated brew...

    Foaming and Stuck Keg Issues

Definately got the gas and liquid in the right spots. I'll try changing the dip tube. There was no gunk on the bottom so I don't know. It is my first time using this keg but I've got three others to experiment with. Thanks for the tips thus far.

    Foaming and Stuck Keg Issues

So I've spent two days searching the forums for an answer to this, and I haven't figured it out yet. I brewed a Watermelon Wheat, transferred to corny keg, and carbonated at 14 PSI for 2 weeks at 40 degrees. Its sitting in my kegerator hooked up to a faucet through an insulated collar. I...

    First Bottling Session

Thanks for the suggestion. She did actually keep the wand off the towel, but I definitely can see how a shorter piece of hose might be handier for bottling. In fact, we couldn't get the hose off the bottling wand during cleanup. I tried running hot sanitizer through it, I tried pushing the...

New to Brewing - Just Brewed First Batch

I'm in Gainesville for a few years, and I agree, the weather's been pretty good except for every now and then, and my house is central air conditioned anyway, so my closet stays pretty good for brewing temps. Happy Brewing, Chris

New to Brewing - Just Brewed First Batch

Greetings everyone! My name is Chris and I'm currently calling Florida my home. I've always been interested in the art and science of brewing beer and so my father bought me a kit for my birthday. I just finished my first brew day, and with any luck I did everything right. I'm a little...
