    Harvesting hefe yeast?

Yeah, I wish someone would open one. The winery outlet in the mall has a few things (mostly wine-making, but I can get a carboy or siphoning equip in a pinch), but brewing equipment and supply sends you toward philly. It sucks...

No, that's the problem. I order everything online. Our closest shop is about 100 miles away.

    Harvesting hefe yeast?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Otherwise I'll be pitching S-05 on an otherwise interesting beer.

    Harvesting hefe yeast?

Okay, so I ordered some of the misc. supplies that I need to brew a blood orange hefe except I forgot to order yeast:confused: Is there a commercial hefe out there that I can harvest dregs from? I would rather pay for a six pack than pay for shipping again...

glenn514 - you've inspired me, I just received one of these calls on my cell while at the office. I don't have a whistle, but Aerosmith's "Love in an Elevator" was playing on the radio...that seemed to do the trick:D

Which brew gods do you have to pay homage to for a smooth brew day???

Beer made my mouth and throat numb

Emptying your hot tub that close to a water source could cause contamination, but I would think that if you took a drink of water you should get the same numbing feeling if that were the case? Either way, maybe next time empty the tub further away from the well. It is recommended that you keep...

    Fined vs Convicted

PA is funny about fines. I was given a "failure to obey traffic control devices" fine for rolling through a stop sign. The fine is $25, but with all of the fees it adds up to about $109... But back to your original question...yes you should be able to show proof on ins. and be good to go...

if you're using the water feed line on the back of the fridge - doesn't it feed both the water on the door and the ice maker? Scotch in the ice maker just seems like a poor idea...
