Thanks! I'm going to try the primary with the WLP Saison II Yeast then add the Brett on the secondary. Give it a whirl and see what happens.

    Advice for using Brett....

Hello, I would like to make a peppercorn Saison with a Brett yeast. My question to the yeast enthusiasts is should I use strictly a Brett strain or perhaps blend a Saison yeast (such as white labs Saison yeasts) and add the Brett after the initial fermentation flurry has died down? Just...

    Yeast viability question?

Hey, I bought my brewing supplies for a brew day tomorrow 7 days ago. I just found my vial of WLP 001 in the bag. So it was out at RT for 1 week. It is now in the fridge but will it be ok or should I buy another vial? Thanks yeast friends!

American Pale Ale Lake Walk Pale Ale

I can't wait to try it. I tried sweetwater a month back and that got me looking for a good pale ale recipe. CAN NOT WAIT! Moving to the secondary tonight!

American Pale Ale Lake Walk Pale Ale

I want to try this recipe. But I gave a question. The recipe says 2 row brewers malt. Is that 2 row pale malt? Also, the toasted pale malt. Is that just more of the pale malt that is toasted? Thanks for the info!

    Question on liquid yeast vials

Any idea on how long the yeast are viable for when stored in the refrigerator? The yeast washing sticky shows in his pics a mason jar from about 8 months previous I believe. I could have just waded through the 70 some pages of that sticky but thought I would ask your thoughts instead. Thanks!

    Question on liquid yeast vials

Hey guys, I've gotten some good, helpful information so far so I thought I would ask another question. Since I only have a 1 gallon fermenter I theoretically only need 1/5th of the yeast in the vial from White labs. However I pitched the entire vial as I was told by me homebrew store. My...

    Original gravity question

It is AG. I did top off in my glass carboy after cooling. Recipe was for 1 gallon 1.2 lb castle's pale malt 0.6 lb white wheat 0.6 lb wheat, flaked 0.2 lb oats, flaked. Measured OG @ 70 deg but the OG I stated (1.032) is adjusted for the temp.
