I tried looking up dimensions of your carboy but they seem to differ. How about you measure the approximate diameter of your carboy (divided by two for radius) first. 5 gallons equals 1155 in^3. Then you can solve for h.. h=(1155)/(pi*r^2) Should at least get you in the ballpark!

Yep, you wanna keep stirring and make sure nothing burns on the bottom of the pot. Also keep an eye on it to make sure there aren't any boil overs.

I have far less experience than others who have commented here, but I pitch 2 packets of dry yeast with 1 cup of water, per "How to Brew" by John Palmer. Seemed to work very well.

It's a glass 6.5. I think I'll be stopping by HD to get some vinyl tubing tonight!
