    Lid or no lid? When cooking wort

    This is kind of a rookie question, but I just cooked up my 3rd batch and I was wondering if I should put a lid on my pot when cooking my wort? I haven't on the 3 I've cooked so far, and the first one turned out amazing but I noticed this last batch went down significantly as it was boiling...

    Just bottled first batch

    Wish me luck I just bottled 2 cases of American wheat style beer with honey, tried one and it was good.

    More bottles

    Anyone have any suggestions on where to get more bottles (free) I have all my friends saving their bottles for me, but they aren't exactly always reliable. I currently have about 40 but my bottle date is coming quick and I don't want to buy empty bottles.

    Safe to bottle?

    I just brewed my first wort a week ago, and my recipe says to ferment for 2 weeks, but it's one week old and there's no foam cap, and the SG is stable (2 equal readings yesterday and today). Can I bottle it now? Or should I wait another week to be safe?
