Did I lose my beer because I waited too long???

I brewed a summer wheat-ish beer about two months ago. After one week I racked and went to a secondary. It has been in the secondary since then, about 7 weeks. I have been traveling and couldn't find the time to bottle (I know, terrible excuse).I'm wondering if it will still be okay after...

Liquid yeast left at room temperature. Is it okay to use?

Hello, I left my yeast at room temperature yesterday for about 4 hours. When I remembered I had left it I immediately put it in the refrigerator. I wanted to brew this afternoon. Is the yeast still going to be okay to use?

I just cracked open a bottle from my first brew, an abbey ale that has been sitting in bottles for 6 days... Initial thoughts: It definitely tastes like beer. It has strong flavor. It is very strong tasting. I'm not sure why. It doesn't have any bubbles shooting up from the bottom of...

80 hours in, light krausen, little bubbling, NOTHING THROUGH BLOW OFF!

Alright... I'm about 80 hours in to my wheat brew. It still stinks like crazy, there is some krausen growing. But, there has been nothing to go through the blow off. Is this normal? Do some brews send nothing through the blow off? What should I expect over the next two weeks in the...

Second Brew going...but is beginning to smell a bit at 40 hours.

So...I was excited because my blue moon esque brew has begun to ferment. However, I just checked on it (40 hours in carboy) and decided to open the carboy. I took the rubber lid off and thought it smelled quite bitter. There is foam and bubbling and so forth. But, it doesn't smell...

21 hours in, you tell me if fermentation is happening!

This is a picture of the bottom of the carboy. The yeast looks like it is growing...and the top of the wort has a bit of a film/foam to it. Is this good news? P.S. I hope this picture uploads... Chris

Second Brew seems messed up! Help!

So I finally got everything done last night. I transferred the wort to the carboy after it had cooled (probably well beyond 90 degrees, actually) Is that a problem that it cooled so much? I checked the temperature of the full carboy (3.5 gallons water, 1.5 gallons wort) and it was at 64...

Well, I made it to the bottling stage. Two weeks in the fermenter, and now, in the bottles. I plan to leave the bottles in a dark room for 7-10 days before trying one. I must say though, it smelled wonderful in the bottling bucket as I was bottling! Hopefully no bacteria and everything is...
