    desert hops growing

    so i'm attempting to grow hops and i live in southern nevada. half of the fruit and vegetable plants i've tried to grow have burnt up in the heat even when planted in decently shady areas. i am wondering if anyone has had any success out here. or in any desert for that matter :mug:

    when to secondary

    usually i just keep my brews in primary for 2 weeks then throw into secondary and so far its been fine. but this is my first high gravity brew with an og of 1.096 and i was wondering at what gravity i should put it into secondary? :confused:

    is one enough?

    i brewed a batch the other day with a sg of 1.096 and i didnt think about it till now. will one vial of wlp001 be enough for that gravity? should i run to go get more yeast or just rdwhahb?

    colorado hop farms

    im gonna be taking a trip to the denver area when spring comes around. anybody know of any good hops farms in that area or somewhere along the highway from southern nevada to there. id like to visit and see where my wonderful hops come from. :mug: thanks!

    rhizomes in december?

    i know this is far-fetched but is there any way possible to get some rhizomes before spring? it gets pretty nice in the southern nevada desert in late winter so i wanted to get a little head start indoors

    explosive fermentation

    woke up this morning to the airlock hissing and krausen coming out of it. ive waited about 7 or more hours and it hasnt calmed down. what should i do?
