    pitching ale yeast at low temp

    I just cooled a batch (Annapolis HB IPA 60) and did not look at the temp before pitching, it was 65 F and the slap pack was around 75 F. Will this shock the yeast?

    Hops in secondary question

    Just put an IPA 60 into the primary. This recipe calls for the addition of hops after fermentation. Is it ok to add these hops with my gelatin in the secondary? I was wondering if the gelatin would pull the hops to the bottom before flavoring the beer.

    Third batch

    My third batch just got to the third week in the bottles and turned out great. Brewers Best Imperil Blonde turned out better then expected. Can't wait to try something new but plan to stick with the simple stuff for at least a couple more batches. Have an amber ale in the fermenter now but...
