    Homebrew store in London

I live in Iceland and the homebrew Shop doesn't have much yeast in stock. I'm in London now and want to find a homebrew store here to buy yeast mainly. I'm staying in Lewisham so if anyone here knows any good homebrew store around there or somewhere in London then please let me know.

    Got an urge to brag

English bitters are the main reason I started brewing my own beer and I've been working on a receipe that I made. This is batch nr. 3 and it is so delicious and good looking that I just had to post a photo. It's 4.6%, and on the sweeter side maybe, fermented with Pub A09, smells like heaven...

Best crystal malts for English Bitter

What are the most common brands of crystal malts for English Bitter. My homebrew store only sells caramunich and I mostly brew enghlish bitters. Caramunich makes good beer but it's not exactly what I'm used to from english pubs.

I was just mashing a Best Bitter and didn't remember to check pH until almost at the end of the mash and then it was just a little under 5.2. Maybe 5.15 or so. My googling around tells me a lower pH will lead to higher attenuation and drier beer and that's maybe not what I'd want in a bitter...

    Pouring foam

Why does my Best Bitter pour like that? I've poured 3 glasses in a row now so the line should be cold already I'm using a KegLand picnic tap on a 19L keg and the serving pressure is around 10-11psi. There's around 15-16L in the keg now. I originally set the pressure to 20psi, then cooled it to...

    Favorite of experienced brewers.

Those of you that have been brewing for over 5 years and have tried to brew many or even most types of beer, what has become your favorite drinking beer? Please do not reply here if you have less than 5 years experience. I have a theory that many of us come to the same conclusion. I'm not...

One book to rule them all

Howdy! I'm new to the hobby and totally obsessed. Have been reading this forum, watching copious amounts of youtube videos and having lengthy conversations with chatGPT about all things beer brewing. But there's one missing link and that's a good book about beer brewing. So if you had to...

    Kinda obsessed

Hey there folks! I'm new to the hobby. Just mashed and boiled my first all grain beer 8 days ago. Have done kits before but just bought a Brewzilla to take it to the next level. I'm 47 and I don't understand why I didn't start 25 years ago 😊 So much to learn and so many experiments ahead and I...
