    Turkey Fryer Burner for Boiling....

Turkey Fryer Burner for $39.95. Think this is a good deal for boiling large batches and all grain? http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-30Quart-Propane-Turkey-Fryer/product/10211271/-1530748&hvarAID=vantage&hvarEID=

    Secondary decision....

I used my carboy as the primary and am looking to dry hop in a secondary. If I use my Bale Ale bucket for the secondary would I be exposing the beer to too much oxygen? I've heard the buckets are porous and don't hold a firm seal leaking o2 in. I was thinking of dry hopping for only a few days...

    Pouring like a Noobie?....Riiiiiiight.

So I had a few buddies over the other day to try out a new IPA. Along with them was a straggler friend of theirs, let's call him Bill. I start pouring everyone my IPA in Draft Glasses with a nice thick foam top. While me and my buddies eyeball the nice carbos, Bill yells out with an excruciating...

    Hop Residue Invasion.....

So I mistakingly added all my hops to the 60 min. boil and got this thick hop residue on the bottom of the primary. After pitching it to the secondary @ 1.040 Gravity I left a lot of gunk but still have about an 1/8 covering the bottom of my sample glass. Will I get rid of most of it during @...

    Hops All at once....uh oh.

So I was following the more beer directions to make a blind pig ipa and it said to add all the flavoring hops. I added al of them, yes all of them. Classic noobie move; however, on my defense the instructions were generalized and directed to all beer rather than just to IPAs. Tried other...

    More nitro beers???

I understand that nitrogenous beer is pricey and that porters and stouts take the reigns for the creamy head but why aren't there more varieties of nitrogenous beers? I'd love to try a Chimay Blue via nitro tap. Yum. Post your nitro beers.

    A Few Bottles Short......?

So I have about 4 1/2 gallons of dubbel ready to bottle and about 35 bottles ready. I believe this will still be less than needed to bottle it all but what do you think? Also, will twisties still hold a seal if capped?

    My Dubbel Secondary.....

So I transferred my Dubbel from a bin to the secondary carboy with an OG 1.080. Prior to the transfer the Gravity was 1.019 but the color was a bit lighter than expected. Also, it's got as light bitter mid taste. The beer's been fermenting in primary for 12 days. Is it possible the bitterness...

    Conserving Water......

I know the question is a bit taboo but what do you do to conserve on water during the brewing and cleaning process? I find myself draining a considerable amount and wouldn't mind trying to change things up a bit.

    A few weeks in ferment....

So I made a dubbel wort with a 1.080 OG on Nov 21st. I made the mistake of fermenting it in the plastic bucket with out the spout so I can't check the gravity without breaking the seal. DOH! Well, the batch had some good activity coming from the airlock for a few days then ceased. I kept it in...

Good Temps for Fermenting Belgian Ale...

Newbie question here. I've been fermenting my belgium dubbel at 70-74 degrees during the day and 68-66 during the night. Will these temp changes hurt the beer?
