    Do you sparge or dunk?

    Just curious what techniques work efficiently. I usually try to have my water levels to five gallons for a 3 gallon batch to accommodate the loss from the grain but as I get into bigger abv ales I can't handle that much water in my kettle. What exactly is the dunk method?

    Did I just ruin my kettle?

    I had a bad burn mark on the bottom of my kettle. Not thinking about the consequences of using steel wool I grabbed an SOS steel wool pad and scrubbed the burn mark off. Now I'm wondering if I screwed up my kettle? There isn't any visible marks though. Thanks

    I just purchased a house and now am stuck wondering if I should store my grain in the basement where it stays around 55-60 degrees yr round or in the garage. There basement is dry but has a little moisture which I'm going to try to eliminate with a dehumidifier? Thanks

    Pacific northwest premium two row malt by great Western malting
