    Can I use this keg?

    Lactose Question

    I've read people adding it to the wort pre-fermentation, so I added it to the wort, but I've noticed it messes with the gravity. Is there any reason why this is added early on? It's a non-fermentable sugar.

    I'm just curious what the reading would need to be on the hydrometer to max out the yeast before it dies from excessive alcohol.

    Fermentation Stuck!

    So I've run into my first stuck fermentation. I'm hoping y'all can tell me what to do. It's been fermenting in the initial 3-4 days and it's basically stopped. I stirred up the yeast and it is barely bubbling. So it's a hard root beer recipe. Light DME, 1 pound lactose, 4oz brown sugar...

    Root Beer - Bottom Sediment?

    Hey guys, I'm wondering if anyone can answer this question for me. When brewing homemade root beer there is sediment at the bottom of the bottles once they are ready to drink. Does anybody have any tips or tricks to avoid this?
