    Mashing to get OG higher

    Been getting some low gravity numbers lately getting frustrated! But being doing some 6 kg grains in 28 litres boiler. Now if I stir throughout mashing process which is 1 hour to 1 and half hour. Will that help my OG. ?

    Using DME

    Just done a BIAB dark porter. Was looking for 10.53 OG But I got 10.42 :( There was roughly 5.4kg of grains and malts. 24 litres of wort in fermentor. I stirred it in slowly If using a DME to get alcohol higher, do u get the same effect? And when would you add it? Before putting the yeast in?

    Original gravity too low?

    I did a 27 litre 5.9 imperial gallon. BIAB today. Recipe American IPA. With 6kg grain. I followed recipe for mash time and temp. But i got 10.48 original gravity. I was needing 10.60. Any thoughts on what's got wrong? I was thinking my bag/kit is too small for 6kg of grain maybe?

    How long to leave condition?

    Just done third BIAB and just bottled after 1 month of fermenting. Want to ask.... I cleaned bottles out with star san. Mixed correctly.     How much sugar to use when fermenting?!?

    I'm just going to rack off my wort into a barrel. After 4 weeks being in a the fermenter bin. I have roughly 22 litres of wort. How much sugar do I need to put into the barrel first?

    Using a wort chiller

    Just done my third BIAB. When I was cooling down my wort from boiling to get down to 20c... It was 35c by the time I had finished. Now is this because I didn't put my cold water flow on full?!? Would it have helped if I had put it on full power?!? Thanks for help people
