    Rubbermaid cooler as hopback

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone has used their MLT cooler as a hopback? I'm thinking of doing this... would there be any problems with the heat? Does the manifold filter whole/pellet hops well? Thanks

Brewing a Helles - Protein rest?

Hi all, I've moved and lost some of my equipment in the process, so I've decided to try this recipe by conducting a sort of mini-mash by steeping grains. I want to brew a Munich Helles (got a taste for Augustiner while in Munich last summer). I want to steep about 6 lbs (about 3 of german...

    Score!!

A homebrewing friend of my brother's just messaged me telling me he is selling most of his equipment... Cold break...

Hi everyone, I'm just looking for a bit of advice. I brewed an all grain pale ale yesterday and after I passed it through my hopback and chiller, I noticed there seemed to be a LOT of cold break stuff in the beer. It has now settled to the 15L mark on my fermenter (there is approximately 21.5L...

    Just kegged my first brew!

Just wanted to say how helpful this section was in my decision to purchase kegging equipment and with all the how-to's! It was so easy and so much less messy than bottling! I recommend taking the plunge for anyone on the fence about this! Thanks guys! Thomas
