Who made the "How TO Pour Homebrew" Sign?

That's great! Gives me a nice place to start on the project! I finished my labels yesterday :)

Who made the "How TO Pour Homebrew" Sign?

I'm going to make a few small gift baskets of my homebrew for my dad and father-in-law for Christmas this year. I think that sign, or similar, I saw posted once would be a neat addition to the basket! I didn't think to save it for at the time, but would like to see it again to get some...

    Munton's Carb Tab Question!

I used Nottingham for primary...about 2 weeks primary, 3-4 weeks secondary at 34*....it was VERY clear at bottling. Added Nottingham at bottling as well.

    Munton's Carb Tab Question!

The batches I've added yeast to never has this much at the bottom though....anytime I've crash cooled at 34 for a couple weeks or more, it is VERY clear at bottling time. Several batches that I didn't add some dry eyast to never carb'd well....this has always wpoked nice.....the only thing I...

    Munton's Carb Tab Question!

Yes, I'm used to sediment in the bottom...but this is ALOT more than what I've always had from using priming sugar in the bucket. And everything I've ever read says that more than just a couple days at 34*F will need some yeast added to carb (see the lagering section of our wiki even). The...

    Munton's Carb Tab Question!

I added half a pack of dry yeast to the bottling bucket because I had crash cooled this batch for a couple weeks....but I've never seen that kind of layer at the bottom before until I used the tabs (even when adding some dry yeast to ensure carbonation would occur). Does anyone know if it's the...

    Munton's Carb Tab Question!

I just used these tablets to carb my FatTire clone. They've been in the bottle almost a week, so I haven't popped one yet to see how they've carb'd....but there is a healthy layer of this stuff at the bottom of the bottles. The package said use 3-5 tabs per 12ox bottle and I used 4 per...

    PM Recipe Help

Maybe some stars will help get more responses, lol! Maybe I should brew this without the Maltoferm/Caramel60/Chocolate malts and I'll have something like a Munich Helles??

    PM Recipe Help

Couldn't decide which forum to put this into: Mods feel free! A local guy purchased Austin Homebrew's texas bock recipe and cannot lager it, so I got it for free. The problem is, he ordered an all extract kit. Now I've brewed this kit as a partial mash before, even won a Best Of Show with...

    College Football Upset-o-Rama

Wreck 'Em Tech! TTU 34...OU 27! The game really wasn't as close as the score shows...they made a late charge to score a couple....OU played VERY poorly!

Keep in mind, flap wheel (like sand paper) are offered with different grits...you can get them very coarse to very fine!

    Dogfish Head 120 Min IPA?

Did you try the 120minute and like it? I am a fan of the 60 and 90...but IMO the 120minute was not worth the price of the bottle!

    Deburring Keggle

If you're giving it a light dressing with the grinding wheel, then you've already done as much work as it takes to hit it with the flap wheel (and sand paper is more laborous to do the same job). The flap wheel is like $3 from Harbor Freight or similar...hit the top of the lip and the bottom...

If you've already got a die grinder, just buy a medium grit flap wheel and go to it. I used a flap wheel for mine and it is very smooth, with no jagged or sharp edge left to it! It only took 2-3 minutes with the wheel to get it done too.

Did you get to watch UT slide by OSU? They SHOULD have lost that game...they were outplayed in every facet of the game until about halfway through the 4th quarter. I must admit though, this weekend was the first time in a while I found myself routing for two Oklahoma teams :)

What's the easiest way to make a mistake?

I ruined (well, kind of) a better bottle. I was sterilizing my stuff one night, and figured why not auto-siphon some of that very hot water into the better bottle where the starsan is to do it?....BAD IDEA. It shrivled up and is not about 4.5 gallons capacity. Dumb noob mistake on my part.

    highest efficiency

Wouldn't the best time for calculating efficiency be before you boil? That shows the true amount of sugars/volume you have collected. After you boil for 4 hours (exaggeration obviously) you're going to have a much higher gravity. I always thought the gravity before the boil was what to base...
