1" hole in SS pot - need help to fix or add spigot

As Bobby says, 1/2" couplings are just a bit over 1" in diameter. Find a weld ship and have them weld in a coupling. Then you can thread a close nipple into the coupling and add a ball valve.

Frozen grains cool the mash. Duh!

I freeze my grains too to kill off any bugs, but I only leave them in for about a week, then take them out. You don't need to store the grains in the freezer.

    Jaybird's Stainless False Bottoms

Went ahead and ordered the standard hinge. Figured I could always add the heavy duty support later if I find I need it.

    Jaybird's Stainless False Bottoms

To reverse hinge or not to reverse hinge - that is the question. Getting ready to pull the trigger on a false bottom (should have done this a while back and used my free shipping code - doh!). I'm doing a direct fired RIMS and will be recirculating during the mash. I'm wondering about the...

    How to read motor nameplate?

My bad...I was looking at the "V" in the last line.

    How to read motor nameplate?

The motor nameplate does not list the voltage. I would confirm it is in fact a 110V, single phase motor before you buy it. Since it came off industrial equipment, it is possible it is a 3 phase motor. Knowing that it came off a shredder, it is likely there is a gearbox to run it at the lower...

    How to read motor nameplate?

It's possible this is a dual winding motor. There would be two sets of leads out of the motor. One set for high speed and one set for low speed.

Braided stainless steel for a jockey box?

Heat transfer will not be the same. Those braided lines have a plastic tube inside of them. The purpose of the coiled stainless line is to have lots of surface in contact with the ice.

    Cant find triclamp size....

It's a bit hard to tell from the pics, but from photo keg34 it looks like a 1-1/2 triclamp. This is a handy reference to determine sizes: http://www.gvc.net/docs/gvc_doc_00004.pdf 1" and 1-1/2" triclamp fittings use the same clamp. The gaskets are different though as you'll notice in the link...

    Cant find triclamp size....

Post a pic and I can probably tell you what size. Working in the Pharma industry, we use these everywhere!
